MAIL ORDER MONSTER DESIGN AND MOCAP TESTS

SCULPTURES CREATED FOR FILM AND FOR FUN

As a computer designer, I also have a love for creating real world special effects. Some of this work has been incorporated in independent films and commercials, but much of it is displayed in my home. As fun as computer effects can be, there is nothing more exciting than sculpting and creating real world sculptures with your hands. The Xenomorph from the Alien films, is a homage of the work of the late artist H.R. Giger. The large tentacle was used in a pool commercial. Later it was attached to the ceiling over my wife’s desk. She ultimately moved into her own office. Below is my version of the Mean Green Mother from Outer Space, Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.  The little babies were actually used as the flower arrangements at our wedding.
